The "politically correct" among nations can be based, rightly or not, the hypocrisy of certain official positions.
I have a clear idea of \u200b\u200bhow Italy is seen (... and Berlusconi) here in the UK and probably also the opinions in the U.S. are not so different (though then the White House is, of course, forced to correct and apologize).
